This post is up abit late but better late than never! Anywayz, me and Darren were walking around Pyramid on Friday (18th May 2007) and were deciding on what to have for dinner. I forced him to make a decision by threatening him that if he doesn't, then I won't eat and so he chose to go to Bar.B.Q Plaza. This place offers a fusion of Mongolian and Korean food in which they serve things raw and we had to cook them ourselves. Put the both of us and a cooking pot together and the whole place almost collapsed. But anywayz...we didn't manage to get pics of the raw food because we were too eager to get started. But we did manage to capture ourselves...cooking!
Look inside the pot! Doesn't it look delicious? We ordered this set containing chicken, pork, lamb, shrimp, vege (cabbage, mushroom, pumpkin), sotong, udon...what else? Can't really remember...lol...
This is the one rare time you'll actually see me 'cook' so appreciate the pic! Lol...
Loads of funny things happened while we were attempting to cook. Being first-timers, we obviously were blur and didn't know what to do. Our food keep slipping down and we were laughing like hell. They gave us a plate containing pork fat, lemon, garlic and chilli padi. We didn't know what the pork fat was for and so we asked the waitress. It was actually to rub on the top of the pot before we start cooking so that the food would not get stuck to the pot. Uh-oh...guess what? We were already half way through our food at that time! So we thought 'Oh well...screw the pork fat!' Haha...
After much laughter and stupidity, this was our end products...
Not too bad eh? Hehe...Hope I didn't get your mouths watering already. The taste was not too bad...especially since we're only amateurs!
By the end of the meal, we were feeling very full; mostly due to our laughing instead of the food! Too bad we only thought of taking pictures when we're half way through our food. Sighz...
Oh and remember the pork fat that I mentioned? Well...the consequences of being noobs and not using it....
Damn...I pity the person who has to clean this! And as we walked out of the place, I looked around and realized that everyone else's pots were nowhere near as black as ours. Haha...that made us laugh even more! Anywayz overall it was a fun and entertaining dining experience! Seriously people, if you want a good laugh, go try this place out! Also big thanks to 'the boyfriend' for this wonderful night! Mwahh!
