De Foodland is also known as 'Crab Haven' as it specializes in crabs and has about 50 different type of crab cooking styles. So the highlight for the night is....

My fellow crustacean....Salted Egg Crab! It was sooo gooodddd!!!

My family; all stuffed after the dinner. This dinner took place two nights before I left Malaysia...

Me and my cousin! The both of us are born in the year of the dragon! Maybe that's why we get along so well!

Hasn't been a very good few days..There surely has to be something upsetting each day...I long for a perfect day in which I don't have to worry about anything...just for that day...but wishes don't come true do they? I have been making the same wish for my face for the past 1 month already and it still hasn't recovered...I have a feeling that it never will...As for other things...I don't know...sighz...

Hoping for a better day...

What's on my mind now? The one wish I have to ask for now? I hope and pray and wish for my face to get better...I just don't understand...it started out as a few harmless pimples and now they have all joined forces to combine into this huge red patch on my face and it never seems to get better...

It has got to the point that I even hate taking pictures now...please...this is my one wish...

I used to wish for flawless complexion like some girls...now I just wish for my skin to be in the same condition as it was the last time...

I'm back in Lincoln, Nebraska, US!!! Nooooo!!!! I'm missing Malaysia and the people there already!

Arrived on Friday, 24th August 07 at 5pm which was way later than when we were suppose to arrive...hell lot of things happened...I will never, ever go back to LA airport again! Freaking many people which caused us to get delayed at immigration, causing me to run all the way to the freaking ass far terminal with 2 luggages and my carry-on items, alone, beacause Darren got held up there for like hours, thus causing us to miss the flight and had to get the next one, causing Darren to be put on the standby list and worry the shit out of me. Screw you LA airport! Lay Poh and Christopher too got delayed there due to immigration and had to catch the next flight like us. Bahhh!!

Anywayz, just moved in to our place as soon as we arrived and it is like totally empty...I will post pictures of the place as soon as we settle down and actually get this place furnished...dammit furnitures are expensive! Wishing I was back home...sniff...

Malacca Paradise 07 - Part 3
I am feeling kinda lazy to post pictures and actually blog about it in detail so just give a summary kay...sorry...

After passing through the walk way, we went for the Safari Ride. We were all put into this caged truck and were being driven through this safari to see the wildlife in their natural habitat. It was really nice and Darren managed to capture some beautiful pictures...again I will try to convince him to upload them...or you guys may do so yourselves on *his blog*...He has uploaded some pics from the trip there as well...you guys can go check it out...

During the duration of the ride, some uncivilized barbaric hooligans were actually banging the cages of the truck and shouting and hooting to try to attract the attention of the wild animals...and they were adults mind you! They even threw two plastic bottles at the lion! Me and Mel got so upset that we actually gave a loud 'OOOIII!!!' and when they turned to look at us, we gave them the stare...the ranger guarding the place was furious at them as well. He should have made them went down next to the lion and pick those bottles back up...bloody idiots...

Me and Mel after the ride at some totem pole.

After that, we went on to witness the Elephant Show. A series of very cute, exciting and interesting performances by a group of elephants. I especially like this small one...she was so adorable! They have all been converted to being Malays though...they all had Malay names...lol...

Along the way, we met Mel's uncle again and I would really like to say thank you to him as he was very nice to us and allowed me to take a picture for FREE with a tiger and a white parrot (some species of parrot). The pictures cost like RM21 per piece I think and so I really, really appreciate it...Thanks alot Uncle!

After the show, we bid farewell to Mel's uncle and to Malacca and headed back to KL. Ben drove for the first half of the journey and Darren took over after that. We were all dead tired and practically knocked out. The day ended with us going to Centrepoint's Momo for their delicious Japanese buffet dinner.

No words needed I guess...hehehe...

Overall it was one successful trip and I'm really glad it worked out. Thanks guys for everything! I enjoyed every moment of it and hope we would have more trips to come! Next destination: LA Disneyland!! =P

Till we all meet and gather again...

Malacca Paradise 07 - Part 2

The next morning, we got up at about 8am and started to get ourselves ready and packed up all our things. In the midst of packing, we decided to have some fun...

Murder in the Bedroom! - Take 1

Murder in the Bedroom! - Take 2

After packing up and fooling around, we went back to the same cafe to have our same breakfast (not like we had a choice anyway). After that, we checked out from the apartment and headed for a day of fun in A Famosa Animal World! I have been there before a few years back and the place had some changes since then.

Do you believe in Wishing Wells? Here's A Famosa's Wishing Fountain!

Spot the two parrots behind us!

Hey there! Spotted this fella here in the Wishing Fountain.

Also at the entrance there were 3 cute tiger cubs! There were so so so cute! In order to touch them and have a picture with one of them, you had to pay though...I think it was RM21 per picture...yea...ouch...

After that, we headed off to the Chicken Farm. There were many species of chicken including peacocks, peahens and turkeys in which Mel calls them 'Christmas.' The chickens were all behind glass cages and so me and Mel's faithful Olympus could not take any photos of them. Darren did managed to take some shots with his DSLR though but he did not upload them. Maybe I would convince him to do so...lol...

Here's one picture of us and the cute lil chickadees!

After the Chicken Farm, we headed off to see the Multi Animal Show. This show features performances from skunks, otters, dogs, a goat, a bear, an Orang Utan, a water buffalo, a hyperactive monkey and lastly a herd of uber-adorable lambs!!

Lookit this lil guy here! Ain't it adorable??

Awww...can I take it home pleassseeee???

It was a good show overall. The animals were so cute!! Me and Mel were clapping and cheering like small kids! Lol...after that was over we headed over to the Bird Show which was equally entertaining...if not...better! They were a few species of birds features like parrots, an eagle, a hornbill and some other species...can't really remember...At the end of the show, there were a group of ducks and flamingoes parading across the stage. It was so cute! I did not take any shots of any of the shows but Darren did. He took some beautiful shots of all the animal shows but did not upload them. Once again, I might convince him to do so...

Me and 1 parrot species.

After the Bird Show, we took a ferry ride over to Monkey Island to see monkeys! We met Mel's uncle (who runs the place...if i'm not mistaken he owns the place you know...don't play play...) while queuing up for the ferry ride. We chatted a little and then hopped on to the ferry.

Mel, Ben and Darren on the ferry. See the Sony slung over his neck? Yea that's his wife!

So we reached Monkey Island and when you're on Monkey Island what are you supposed to do? See monkeys of course...but guess what we end up doing?

This....

...this....

....and this.

Yea...then only did we went to see the monkeys. They were all in this cave behind glass cages and bars so couldn't really take shots of them. It was different the last time I went there because the last time, the monkeys were free to roam about the island. Maybe the monkeys got more vicious now...

We spent a pretty short amount of time on Monkey Island and took the ferry back after that. We were hungry by then as it was around pass noon and so we went to have our lunch. The entrance fee that we paid included lunch for us but the taste was....let's just say it was not appetizing.

After lunch we headed of to watch the Wild Wild West Show. I think the setting was rather nice...looks like a cowboy town...

Me and Mel...this is part of the setting of the show...

The show was rather...erm...lame if you ask me but I think it was set that way to entertain the kids. The effects of the show was quite nice though as they had real horses galloping across and gun shots and a cracking whip. The show lasted pretty long and after that we went back to the entrance through a walk-through path in which various animals are fenced up in the open for tourists to see and photograph them.

Black swans! Too bad they didn't have white ones...

Otter no 1. Otters are just so adorable!

Otter no 2. It's looking directly at me!

Because I have too many pictures, I have to do a Part 3...so to be continued with Part 3!

Malacca Paradise 07 - Part 1

From the 27th-29th July 07, me, Darren, Mel and Ben went to Malacca A Famosa Resort for a wonderful 3 days - 2 nights stay. It was awesome! One of the best trips ever, maybe not so much of the place but more of the company. Big thank you to dear dear for helping me to organize this trip...couldn't have done it alone!

27th July was a Friday and me and Mel had classes until 5pm. The other two didn't so they went to settle the baggage and stuff before coming to college to pick us up at 5pm. We went for a light meal in Asia Cafe first and then shot off to Malacca in Ben's white Proton Wira. Thanks to the guys' wonderful arrangement skills, we managed to fit 4 of us + 4 baggages + 1 ice box + other miscellanous stuff into the car.

It was a rather interesting journey down to Malacca. Ben drove and Darren guided him as he had the map with me. Me and Mel's duties? We were suppose to keep the guys awake and I think we did a pretty good job. Even though we were sleepy, we fought to stay awake througout the whole journey.

We finally arrived there around 8pm and we checked into the apartment. Our first impression of the apartment? Damn, it looks way different from what was shown on the website! According to the website, it was supposed to be this damn chun, posh place but the actual thing? Sighz...but it's okay lar...not that bad. After settling down and stuff, we got hungry so our dinner on the first night? Maggie Mee!! However, there wasn't a microwave oven there so we had to use hot water which was not sufficient to cook the eggs we threw into our maggie mee and so it ended up looking like this....

Yea, looks pretty gross I know....

But still, we looked happy eating it!

Our 'darling' retards!

After dinner, we went to bathe and turned in for the night as we had to get up at 7:30am the next morning.

Rise and shine! Out breakfast the next morning at the Sunshine Cafe.

After breakfast, we went back to the apartment and did some camwhoring before leaving for what we have planned for that day....

Me and Mel. Wasted lar your bikini arrived late!

My dear and I.

Mel helping me tie french pleat.

Thanks girl! You did a wonderful job!

At about 10am we left for...A Famosa Water Park!

I love this picture! Like we were in total paradise...

Me and Mel's 'super' pose!

Some of the slides there required us to rent those big tubes and so we decided to rent 2 double tubes for the 4 of us.

Me and my skinny.

We had a time of lives and it was as if we discovered our second childhood. Though it was a pretty small place and we finished everything in about 4 hours or so (which included sitting some slides again, again and again), we had fun screaming like little kids...no wait...worst than little kids! Some of the slides were scary and there was one in which if you don't hold on tight to the tube, you would definitely fly of the slide! At about 2-3pm, we left and returned to the apartment to scrub ourselves clean and get some rest as we had planned for a steamboat dinner that night...not just ordinary steamboat but DIY steamboat!

The chef in action!

His sidekick in action!

Halfway cutting oyster mushrooms also can pose....

The food...there was alot of food by the way. Special thanks to Darren's mum for buying all the food and for teaching him how to prepare the soup.

Ben is hungry...

While waiting for the food to be cooked...

Ooohh...can you smell it from here? Ngek ngek ngek

I guess I don't have to mention how full we were that night. There was just so much food! We watched tv and chatted throughout dinner. At about 9 or 10pm, there was a beautiful display fireworks and our apartment happened to have the perfect view of it! Click *here* to view the pictures that Darren took with his 'wife' - his very dearly beloved camera. After everything, Ben and Mel washed the dishes and cleaned everything up. Thanks guys! After that we all went to bathe and turned in for the night.

Okay...part 2 to be continued!
